Friday was our first day at Magic Kingdom.
It was all we thought it would be. Disney music was playing, people were happy, Mickey ears were everywhere. It was grand!
We got there about 45 minutes early. My mother-in-law rented a motorized scooter for the day, which was just great. I wish I had gotten one for myself!
We, again, rode all the rides we wanted to without any long lines. Just fyi, a long line to me there was 45 minutes. We saw characters, got to ride the teacups and Dumbo, so Anna's trip to Disney World was made!
Saturday we went to Hollywood Studios. We again rode all the rides we wanted to, but for some reason we didn't ride them twice. I would love to ride Rock N Roller Coaster again. That was the best ride ever for me. I'm just sick I didn't ride it twice!
Saturday night we ate at Ohana. It was recommended by Hollye and man was she right! This is not a restaurant for a vegatarian. I have never seen so much meat in my life. And I've never seen David eat so much shrimp either. That boy scarfed down a dozen shrimp and that doesn't count the steak, pork and turkey he ate. It was soo very good.
Stephen and I are thinking about making reservations there when we go back to Orlando for the convention in a few weeks. Thanks Hollye!
Sunday we went to church at FBC Orlando. It was great! I was worried that we would be standing in lines at Magic Kingdom since we didn't get there early enough to ride first, or to get fast passes for the big rides. But, you know, God doesn't dissappoint. We didn't stand in long lines, and didn't miss out on anything we wanted to do. God is good. Lesson from Sunday is go to church on vacation!!!
On Friday Samuel misplaced his backpack with his crocs and camera in it. Daniel still couldn't find his camera from Tuesday. So, now we had no pictures of our Disney trip! I know I don't post pictures much (hush Abby Jo!), but no Disney pictures was just too much for me to handle!
I had been calling Disney lost and found to see about Daniel's camera but they didn't have it. We went to City Hall at Magic Kingdom to see if Sam's bag had been turned in, but they didn't have it. So, after dinner and before the fireworks we went back to see if they had it. And they did!!! YEA!!! Sam's camera found!!
When we got home Tuesday afternoon and were cleaning everything out of the van we found Daniel's camera. It had been there the whole time. We had looked for it, but it was not to be found until we came home. Oh well, at least we found it!
So, the Disney recap is done. Aren't you glad? But I'm not through yet. I have a "Best of" list coming soon.

Vacation Days 3 and 4
On Wednesday we headed to Epcot. It was our first day at a Disney World park. I was prepared.
My cousin Hollye is a Disney expert and after many emails I had a plan. We got to Epcot 30 minutes before they opened and were one of the first in line. It was so exciting. I talked to Hollye on the phone and I think she and Matthew were as excited as we were.
When the park opened we rode the rides we wanted to ride without a wait! We had a great lunch and enjoyed our day so very much. There wasn't a big crowd, it was a great first day. We had dinner at a revolving restaurant while Chip & Dale, Pluto and Mickey walked around. The kids loved it!!
On Thursday we went to Animal Kingdom. I didn't ride any rides at this park. But the kids and Stephen did. The kids rode the water ride by themselves. Stephen and I were no longer needed to ride with our kids. It was a bittersweet moment for us. After all the years of having our kids attached to us, they were riding a ride without us. Sad, but exciting!! We enjoyed the safari and the Lion King show. We were done with Animal Kingdom by around 3:00 so we went back to the hotel and swam and did laundry. We had been gone 4 days and we needed some clean clothes!!
That night we ate with some relatives of mine that I hadn't seen in 14 years. We had found each other on facebook but they had never seen my kids. We had dinner together and had a good time reconnecting with each other. I hope we don't go so long without seeing each other again.
Days 5,6,and 7 are next, probably later on today!!

Vacation Days 1 and 2
Still no pictures.
Hush up Abby!
But I will begin to tell you about our vacation.
We left bright and early on a Monday morning, drove to Florida ate dinner with our friends who were vacationing there, played in the sand a bit and then went to sleep!
We left not so bright and early Tuesday morning. Our drive would be shorter so we didn't have to leave as early as the day before. We drove and drove. And then we saw Walt Disney World!
You should have seen our faces. (and if I had pictures you could!) We were excited, and relieved that our time in the van had come to an end! Hallelujah!!!
We checked in to our hotel that seemed to be bustling with Disney excitement. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. We got to our rooms and the towels had been made to form Mickey ears. So cute!
We then went to Downtown Disney to eat supper and do a little browsing. That place is great. Like Branson Landing on Mickey steroids! This is where Daniel asked me, "Do you know where I put my camera?" I told him I did not. The rest of that story is to follow.
We headed back to the hotel and a swim. The kids decided they wanted to swim in the baseball pool (shaped like a baseball diamond, but also like a square! some of the magic wore off after the traveling.) They made a friend from Nebraska.
Finally we went to the room, and went to sleep. I was ready for the next morning. Epcot here we come!!!!

A list
Good grief! It has been a while since I've posted anything.
As much as I like to tell you a story too much has been going on so I must make a list to keep things concise.
We are in the middle of baseball season. David is playing right field. Daniel is playing left field and are both hitting pretty good. Samuel is playing catcher, or as they say in south Arkansas back catcher. He is hitting pretty good too.
We have been having car troubles for over a month now. The truck is really in trouble, and has been in and out of the shop for many weeks. As soon as we got the truck to a place where it could be out of the shop for a while, the brakes on the van started grinding and had to be fixed. Thankfully we have a great mechanic in town.
Saying all of that. We looked for a van over the weekend. We had prayed about it and had a number that we could spend. The first dealership was just sad. Sad. The second dealership we fell in love. The third dealership, I was sent to by myself, and failed miserably. So we went back to the second dealership hoping for a deal. But no! We drove home in our van, stains on the carpet and all. But I just heard from Stephen and the dealership has called today. Maybe we'll make a deal afterall. Who knows!!
Mother's Day was good. All the kids got me cards that were so funny I laughed outloud. David's was real wordy, he said he got it for me because he knew I liked to read, and because he likes to read. Daniel's said I was a 24/7 mom and he was glad because if not he would be doing 5-10. Funny, just like him. Samuel's was to his mommy and talked of me giving baths, and naps. He so wants to always be my baby. Anna gave me a homemade card that she had made at a neighbors house. So sweet. I didn't get breakfast in bed. I just couldn't stomach the idea of what they would do with peanut butter, tartar sauce and A-1, because that is just about all we had in the pantry! So when I heard them in the kitchen, I hurried in to tell them I was already up. Saved!!
We are headed to Disney soon. I have kid clothes stacked in my bedroom ready to be packed, snacks and drinks ready to be divied out. We are ready. 7 more days!!!
Please be praying for Stephen's mom this Thursday. She is having brain surgery. It sounds awful, but will out-patient. Her birthday is Friday and we all leave for Disney on Monday. Pray for a healing and a speedy-quick recovery.
And since I just told you when I will be out of town, please don't break into my house and steal all of my treasures. I wouldn't be happy about that at all!
More to come! I really like to blog, but sometimes I get overwhelmed with what to share. It seems like I want you to know so much but can't get all the stories out of my head.
Have a great Monday. It's a rainy one here, so I shall clean my house or maybe go pickup a new van!

Disney Bound!
The countdown has begun. We have a chalkboard in the kitchen that we change each day to reflect the number of days until we leave. As of today it says 17!!!
I'm doing last minute research and planning this week. Trying to decide which attractions to see, and which rides to ride is a job! Cousin Hollye has helped me so very much. I'm sure I will be burning up her email account the next few days. She is just so knowledgable and eager to help. And I am so needy and helpless. We're a fine pair!
A few people have asked why we can go to Disney now and we couldn't go a few years back. The answer is simple. Focus on the Family, AFA, and the SBC lifted the boycott on Disney when they began making more family-friendly movies and tv shows.
The kids are glad! But not as glad as Stephen's parents. I think they want to go to Disney more than any of us do.
Please be in prayer for Stephen's mom. She is having surgery the Thursday before we leave that will hopefully relieve her of pain she has experienced for 8 1/2 years.
Pray that the surgery is successful and the recovery is quick so that she can enjoy herself while at Disney.
Don't worry, I'll keep you updated on all things Disney!

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
Your help in all things Disney was just what I needed. Thank you so very much.
I just wanted to stop on here and let you know that. Last night D&D had a cub scout lock-in and I didn't get much sleep. Between the heater in the gym cutting on and off every other minute (no joke!), boys running around when they should have been sleeping, and me sleeping in a chair there not many zzzz's caught! We have been in Little Rock shopping today and are just now getting home. I'm going to bed now. More later!!
