Beyond Tired

We left Arkansas on Wednesday morning headed for Texas.

We went through a little bit of Louisiana and made it to Texas in just under 5 hours. It was the best trip we have ever had. I don't know why the kids were so good. I won't question it. I'll just say they were really good!!

We had such a great time at Mamaw and Uncle David's house. There were 30 of us that came from out of town to eat be together! Most of us came in on Wednesday. And just about the time we got there we started eating.

We ate appetizers of fried cheese, cheddar peppers, eggrolls, chip and dip and little quiches. And then about 45 minutes later ate brisket, rolls, beans and dessert. WOW! We were so full.

Everyone stayed at a hotel in town. Our kids got to swim, and we ate the hotel's free breakfast. That gave Mamaw a break! Then we headed to the house and ate again! And again!! Oh my goodness, how much can a stomach hold?

Friday, we headed to Fort Smith to visit with Stephen's parents for a bit. Traveling through Oklahoma to get there. It was a pretty drive, one we had not taken in many years.

But now we are home. And I am so glad! I want to go lay on my bed so badly, but I know if I do the day will be over for me.

This Thanksgiving was just perfect. It was so wonderful to be with family that I love so much. I am thankful to my Lord and Savior for allowing me to be born into such a loving family.

  1. It was just about perfect wasn't it. My mama and I talked last night about how wonderful the time was together. That everyone was so glad to see each other and loved just being there. Isn't that the best feeling? Having family that loves each other and gets along no matter how different we are. Loved you being there. Thanks to the kids for getting my breakfast every morning at the hotel. I loved it and I think they did too.

  2. So glad you all had such a good time! I ate a lot this holiday too. It was so good though spending time with family.

  3. I am so glad you had such a fun time.
    Love you
