Ready or not!

Well, I'm almost ready for school to start.

Almost.

Thursday, Mardel is having their annual summer educational sale. 20% off! I will be heading that way to pick up a couple of books, a cd and a dry erase board.

Why a dry erase board, you might ask. Don't you already have one, you might ask. One day last year I lost my cool and threw my dry erase board. Not across the room, not at the kids. But threw it down. Hard. With force.

I was embarrassed. I told Stephen and he suggested I get a new one. I opted to keep the broken one. As a reminder of what frustration and anger can do.

But I have looked at it for many months. Many months. And I think I now have a handle on the frustration and anger, so I am ready for a new dry erase board.

YAY!!!

After I get those few things 20% off,(Is it really saving much money when I have to drive 1 1/2 hours one way to save the 20%? I don't know. But I'm doing it anyway)I just have to organize Anna's language papers, and read over some of Sam's history and we will be ready.

Ready for a new school year. Ready for jr. high. (Not that our town has jr. high, but I'm old school.)Ready for 4th grade and 1st grade.

Ready or not we start August 16!

  1. I remember the dry erase board story.....I had a similar experience with a tape gun. Shameful. :)

  4. Buenas suerte! Good luck with school this year. I am trying to get my kids registered at a christian school in Ecuador even as we speak. We will be leaving CR in 30 days and I have so much paperwork to do. Sometimes it's stressful. Wish I were sitting by the pool with you. That would be stress free. Love and miss your family!
