A few weeks ago I was given the choice of products that I wanted to review from Master Innovations. They offer The Master Ruler, The Master Angle and The Master Fractions.
I chose the Master Fractions. I've always had difficulty with fractions and didn't want to pass that problem onto my children, so I thought this would help. And you know what? It did!
Samuel has learned fractions and has mastered them. David and Daniel are just now being introduced to fractions so this product came in so very handy.
The Master Fractions is a set of three manipulatives. They are spiral bound with plastic overlays, each one showing three different fractions. My kids loved them! They could color in different parts of the fractions with a dry-erase marker , flip them back and forth to compare the fractions. Even Samuel loved them!
The set of three manipulatives is $17.95. There is a workbook that is available for $15.95 that is full of story problems that the kids were able to use the manipulatives to find the answers to the problems. The further along in the book, the harder the problems, so we will be shelving the workbook for a bit until we get more instruction under us.
We also received a poster of measures. It's huge and has great pictures and really helps the kids see what size different measurements are in comparison to others. You can get the poster for $10.00.
We really enjoyed The Master Fractions and recommend them to anyone learning fractions!
